BARTON ON SEA

METHODIST CHURCH

MEETING POINT

Meeting Point is a group for ladies which meets in the Church Hall on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm. Everyone is welcome, whether they are church members or not. We are pleased to see gentlemen at any ‘special’ events, such as concerts or speakers who are of particular interest to them.

Our programmes are varied and include speakers on a variety of topics, we also have concerts, theatre trips and skittles evenings. Our average attendance is 55 each week and the weekly ‘subs’ are £1.This includes refreshments, the running of the group and cost of speakers.

Each year our members choose a local charity for which we fund-raise through the year. .

Our committee work hard to aid the smooth running of the group and our Secretary/Programme Planner is Dorothy Witney, to whom we are indebted, as it is the wide variety of interesting speakers and the outings etc., that help the group to thrive.
