Methodism is quoted as being “Born in Song” and music still plays a significant part in its worship services.

The Choir exists to help lead the congregation at church services with the hymn singing and to assist in the worship process by singing an anthem. This helps with the introduction of lesser known hymns and introduces music that is not so appropriate for congregational singing.

We are at present about sixteen strong but as with most choirs we are very short in the tenor department! Anyone who enjoys singing and would like to find out more about the choir should contact  Mrs Hilary Beckingham.

Our choir practices are on Thursdays at 2.15 p.m.

We try to sing slightly more major works at Easter Time. Special Items are also prepared for the annual Carol Service and Choir Anniversary Sunday in October.
